RSV Vaccination 2024 Posted or Updated on 22 Aug 2024

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs.  RSV infection often causes symptoms similar to a cold, including cough, sore throat, sneezing and runny or blocked nose.  A single dose of vaccine will be offered to boost protection as you reach an age group at highest risk of serious RSV infection.

The Practice will be offering this vaccination to those who are eligible, you will be called in for an appointment in due course via text or letter.

This will be offered to individuals from the 1st September:

  • Those who turn 75 years of age on or after 1 September 2024
  • Those who are already aged 75 to 79 years old on 1 September 2024
  • Pregnant women to protect their babies (via the Trust)
